The Special Delivery Stamp of 1922 was Edward Worden’s first venture at servicing FDCs. The most common addressing of his covers is by the use of an addressograph. Milburn and New Jersey can be found on one or two lines (see above for two lines). My estimate is that there are 50 addressographed Worden covers of this issue.

Four different printing plates were used to make up the stamps that were available on the First Day: 13916, 13917, 13919, 13920. As above, some Worden covers display the 13920 plate number.

I believe that all of the 10:00 AM FDCs listed in my survey were serviced by Worden.
